ABOUT EXCITE ALL STARS
Excite All Stars provides year-round programs for girls ages 6-18, including their Super Saturday programs, Excite Girls Rock! events, TechN.O.kids STEM programs, Excite All Stars Summer Adventure, Camp Catahoula, and Epic Day of Play events.
Their program just for girls, Excite Girls Rock!, seeks to counteract the negative messages that gender stereotypes and other social pressures send to girls. Participants learn not only to enjoy sports and physical activity, but to strive for goals, take pride in their accomplishments, and resist harmful social pressure, allowing them to grow into healthy and self-confident young women. The TechN.O.kids program ensures girls have equal access to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and, ultimately, STEM careers.
Another awesome part of Excite Girls Rock! is their Anchored 2 Soar Aviation program. As a participant, you will learn about career opportunities in the aviation industry from pilots, mechanics, engineers, and many others throughout the year. Recently, 10 girls in the program flew over New Orleans in a private plane for the first time! This experience is made possible through a partnership with the “Golden Eagles,” the local chapter of the Black Pilots of America
