BLOODSTONE

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

One might assume that a sign like Aries would work with a dashing, fiery stone, but the truth is that bloodstone is a great choice for Aries. Bloodstone is a combination of clear quartz and jasper with red hematite inclusions. Hematite on its own may be a bit much for Aries because, just like Aries, it is ruled by Mars, the planet of war and action, but hematite in moderation is grounding and can promote creative ideas and balance energies. Aquamarine is another stone that shines for Aries because of its soothing properties and ability to ease anxiety. Aries people tend to always be “on” and sometimes it’s helpful for them to sit in stillness. Much like their opposing sign, Libra, Aries people value their relationships a great deal. Unlike Libra, however, they often keep these feelings to themselves. Aquamarine’s dreaminess and serenity make it easier for the ram to clearly express their emotions.

AQUAMAINE
MALACHITE

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

The stone for luck and vitality for Taurus is the emerald. Taurus is ruled by Venus, and emeralds are stones for both love and beauty. Malachite is another stone with transformative and healing properties for Taurus, similar to those of emerald. Malachite clears the heart chakra, and much like their opposing sign, Scorpio, Taurus will experience many transformations during their life. Keeping in touch with their body and seeking peace are important for the sign of the bull. Agate is another beautiful stone that’s ideal for earth sign Taurus. There are many varieties of agate, so it’s important to choose one that calls to you, such as lace agate for peace or red jasper for its calming properties.

EMERALD
AGATE

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

While agate is a great stone for Taurus, it shows its real value for Gemini, the sign of the twins. Much like it’s opposing sign, Sagittarius, Gemini often struggles with racing thoughts and the feeling of needing to run from their problems. Choosing a stone that promotes courage and grounding can prove very helpful for Gemini. Agate stones come in a variety of colors and types to go along with all of the moods that Gemini fluctuates between. Citrine is another wonderful stone for Gemini as it helps keep positive thoughts flowing freely. Citrine is also helpful with luck, and since Gemini is ruled by trickster Mercury, Geminis should always carry good luck charms or amulets. Meditating with citrine or sleeping with it under your pillow can be a great way for heady Geminis to harness the full power of this stone.

CITRINE
MOONSTONE

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Moonstone is the perfect gemstone for Cancer, the sign ruled by the moon. Its dreamy, surreal energy can provide an excellent channel for peaceful visualizations that Cancerians need in their daily lives. Cancer’s sensitive nature can cause them to “retreat into their shell” as a way of protecting themselves, so holding moonstone during those times can be helpful as a grounding mechanism. Similar to their opposing sign, Capricorn, Cancers need a lot of personal time to rest in order to stay present and grounded in daily life. Another great stone for Cancer is turquoise. This cheerful stone can help Cancerians get through their day with ease and go with the flow. Cancer may find peace and serenity with silver and turquoise jewelry or pocket stones.

TURQOISE
AVENTURINE

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Aventurine, a stone of compassion and joy, is one of the best gemstones for feisty Leo. It promotes mental clarity, soothes creative flow, and reduces anxiety. For Leos who suffer from stage fright or performance anxiety, aventurine is a great supporting gemstone. Aquarians, the opposing sign for Leo, may also greatly benefit from aventurine as it keeps them focused while cultivating empathy and compassion. Ideally, Leos should show off their aventurine as jewelry that they can see and touch as a reminder of their grounded, confident nature. Tiger’s eye is another great stone for Leo as its grounding, soothing properties help remove fear from the mind. It’s a powerful tool for emotional calm. Since Leo lives passionately, tiger’s eye is a great daily stone for them.

TIGER EYE
BLACK TOURMALINE

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Black tourmaline is a very beneficial stone for Virgo. Virgo often suffers from feelings of self-doubt and self-judgment. Black tourmaline can help clear and purify Virgo’s mind and keep them focused. Although Virgo is an earth sign, it is ruled by Mercury, who rules the airwaves. It’s important that Virgos keep their earthly environment and airbound energy space cleared. Sodalite is another notable stone for Virgo because it helps them speak their truth. Virgos are often people pleasers, and much like their opposing sign, Cancer, when undeveloped, they will sacrifice their own interests and well-being for the sake of other people. Sodalite offers confidence and power, making it a great pocket stone for Virgo—and it pairs nicely with black tourmaline as well!

SODALITE
ROSE QUARTZ

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Beautiful Libra loves love and belongs with rose quartz because it is the stone of beauty and love. Rose quartz opens and heals the heart and keeps love flowing. Libras are little love generators! When hurt, however, they tend to hide their feelings. Rose quartz offers Libra the river of love in continuous movement. Opal is another amazing stone for the dreamy air sign. Libra can get caught up in aesthetics too easily, and their love, when unevolved, can be surface level. Pairing opal and rose quartz—especially in jewelry—can offer Libras the key to deep, radiant self-love and the ability to lead with love in all things they do.

OPAL
SUNSTONE

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Sunstone is not often associated with Scorpios, but it has much to offer to the watery sign. Sunstone is a stone of passion and leadership, two qualities that define most Scorpios. It also allows moody Scorpio to feel deep joy. Tiger iron is another helpful stone for Scorpio because of its combination of emotionally soothing tiger’s eye and alluring hematite. Scorpios can use tiger iron for manifestation by utilizing its magnetic nature to bring in what they want in life. Rainbow obsidian is also well suited for Scorpio because it harmonizes and purifies the sign. Wearing or carrying rainbow obsidian is a great way to keep up active protection work while cultivating creative peace.

RAINBOW OBSIDIAN
RED JASPER

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Red jasper is lovely for fire sign Sagittarius because it helps them pace or maintain their energy balance. Maintaining focus and staying consistent are not two of Sag’s strengths, but utilizing red jasper can aid them in the development of these qualities. Optical calcite is another great stone for Sagittarius because it’s so creative and fun. Sag can easily get bogged down with tasks or be so aloof that they lose sight of what’s important. Optical calcite is a stone of the energetic body, which can help Sagittarius with letting energy flow and avoiding burnout. Optical calcite is also beneficial for keeping a clear mind and thinking before speaking.

OPTICAL CALCITE
GARNET

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Garnet is a fabulous stone for Capricorn. Being a stone of prosperity and riches, it offers abundance, groundedness, and focus on spiritual matters. Garnet is a great stone for activation or manifestation work, and it also inspires passion and confidence. Pyrite is another helpful gemstone for Capricorn because of its magnetic nature and ability to draw in riches and success. Capricorn feels safe when financially secure, and their emotions are often a reflection of the state of their performance or bank account as a gauge of self-worth. Using pyrite can bring in feelings of abundance and security, which helps Capricorns avoid negative pitfalls of self-doubt. Working with garnet and pyrite together offers Capricorn feelings of peace and success while maintaining their energy to rule the world.

PYRITE
AMETHYST

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Amethyst is the most popular gemstone for Aquarius—and for good reason! Amethyst offers balance in both spiritual and physical affairs. It aids focus, compassion, and communication. People who suffer from excess may find amethyst highly useful because it is both cleansing and empowering. The fact that the stone helps build a sense of relaxation and support also makes it a perfect fit for air sign Aqua. Purple fluorite is another awesome stone for Aquarius as it can help with purifying energy and is psychically deeply cleansing. Aquarius often needs advice but won’t ask for it—although they freely offer their experience as advice to others. Purple fluorite offers insight and resolve to complex matters.

PURPLE FLUORITE
SELETITE

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Selenite is a wonderful stone for water sign Pisces. The sign of the dancing fish is highly sensitive to energies and change. One of Pisces’ main goals is to learn to go with the flow and cultivate a pure balance in life, the “dance” itself. Selenite is relaxing and rejuvenating for the insightful and philosophical Pisces. It helps keep things simple, thoughts positive, and energies clean. Moldavite is another lovely stone for Pisces. It is linked to life in other worlds or on other planets and has gained in popularity lately. It’s a fun stone that keeps Pisces playful.
